Summary

MachPanel now supports Dynamic IP Assignment for Virtual Machines, where IP configuration (IP address, Gateway, DNS) is automatically managed by the backend instead of manual allocation.

Overview

This enhancement simplifies VM provisioning and reduces manual network configuration effort.

Key Concept

There are now two types of IP allocation in Subnet Pools:

• Static IP (Default)
  
  • Traditional Method
  • Admin manually assign IP, Gateway, DNS
• Dynamic IP
  
  • Fully managed by backend
  • No manual IP assignment required

*Note: Dynamic IP is supported only for Private IP Pools​​. Public IP Pools remains Static.

Subnet Pool Configuration

A new option is added in Subnet Pool settings to define IP assignment type.

Important Notes

• Once a subnet is created, IP type cannot be changed later
• When Dynamic is selected:
  
  • No IP addresses need to be defined
  • IP entries cannot be added, edited, or deleted
