Steps:
Attached is a Post Installer Hotfix for MachSol
ADSync Client Utility. Inside the package there are separate folders for both
x86 and x64 platforms (x64 platform has some additional files).
For Windows x86 Platform/Servers:
-
Stop ADSyncSvc using Services.msc
- Replace following in C:\Program Files\MachSol\ADSync folder from x86 Folder found after Unzipping the package.
- ADSyncSvc.exe
- ADSync.ConfigStudio.exe
- ADSync.ClientHelper.dll
- Replace following in C:\Windows\System32
-> If you have other Additional Domain Controllers (ADCs) with x86 platform, please replace ADSync.ClientHelper.dll in
C:\Windows\System32 on ADCs too.
For Windows x64 Platform/Servers:
There are further two folders inside the x64 folder.
-
Stop ADSyncSvc using Services.msc
- Replace following in C:\Program Files\MachSol\ADSync folder from ADSync\x64\ADSync Installation Folder found after Unzipping the package.
- ADSync.ClientHelper.dll
- ADSync.ConfigStudio.exe
- ADSyncSvc.exe
- Replace following in C:\Windows\System32 from ADSync\x64\WinDir - System32 Folder found after Unzipping the package.
- ADSync.ClientHelper.dll
- ADSync.PolicyLogger.dll
- ADSyncPolicy.dll
-> If you have other Additional Domain Controllers (ADCs) with x64 platform, please replace same files in C:\Windows\System32 on those ADCs too.
Note: For x64 platform/servers, you must restart the AD server after files have been successfully replaced as mentioned above.
Note: Additional Domain Controllers (ADC) only have ADSync related files in the C:\Windows\System32 Folder. Nothing needs to be replaced on installation directory.
