INFO:Integration of PayPal Express Checkout in MachPanel

Summary

This article provide a summary for new PayPal Express Checkout integration.

Applies To

This article applies to MachPanel build 6.0 and above.

Configuration of "PayPal Express Checkout":

To configure your existing PayPal account with latest "PayPal Express Checkout" API please take following steps:

Open https://developer.paypal.com/developer/applications/
Login to PayPal and Go to My Apps and Credentials section.

Create an application under REST API, with any name, for e.g. MachPanel. See snapshot below:

Choose desired tab/button to Use Live or Sandbox Client ID:

Enable/Configure "PayPal Express Checkout" from MachPanel.

Save

In PayPal Express Checkout gateway configuration specify above credentials from image. See image below:

Now, navigate to the following path: Home » System Configuration » Billing Configuration » Payment Groups and click on Add Payment Group button and then select the primary gateway as "PayPal Express Checkout" . See the snapshot below:

Note: Recursive payment won’t be allowed with "PayPal Express Checkout" method. For recursive payments and PCI compliance mode customers have to switch towards PayPal Pro.

For this navigate to the following path: Home » System Configuration » Billing Configuration » General Billing and enable PCI Compliance as shown below:
