HOW TO:Remove and Disable ADSync Utility

Summary

This article provides a best way to Remove and Disable ADSync Utility from Control Panel.

Applies To

This article applies to MachPanel all versions and ADSync utility.

Removal / Deletion of ADSync Utility:

ADSync from Client domain controller will not affect the Hosted control panel and its backend AD servers. However the users which were synced successfully will remain locked in control panel for editing. To enable the editing of the AD user accounts in MachPanel, you should also disable ADSync for that organization in MachPanel.

Please follow below Steps:

Step 1: Removing Adsync

Go to the path: ControlPanel >> Programs >> Programs and Features, Right click on ADSync and click Uninstall. See sanpshot below:

Click Yes on ADSync - InstallSheild Wizard.

Click Finish to complete the Uninstall.

Step 2: Disable ADSync

Finally, disable ADSync for the ADSync enabled organizations from the following path: Home » Service Director » Active Directory » Active Directory Organizations
Select Disable ADSync from Options. See snapshot below:
