Important Pre-requisites
  1. MachPanel Control Server v.3.1.10 or later.
  2. MachPanel Remote Server v.3.1.10 or later.
Update Instructions
Follow following steps in sequence and execute instructions available at these KB article to update:
  1. Update to Latest MachPanel
  2. Update to Latest MachPanel Remote Server
IMPORTANT - Update to MachPanel 3.1 Build 16: The update process followed in above knowledge base articles will automatically upgrade to latest build. This is a two step process. In first step you will upgrade to 3.1 Build 15 and in second step it will change to 3.1 Build 16.

Note:
The update process takes considerable time during which Configuration Studio screen halts for few minutes, that is normal.

New Features/Improvements

  • New feature: Reseller module.
  • New Feature: Customer/Reseller access templates.
  • New feature: Added ‘Search by Customer ID’ option to top-right side search in panel.
  • New feature: Implemented page specific help text.
  • New feature: Back button is included.
  • New feature: Included context sensitive help in panel. The help link on top right corner opens help page specific to current page.
  • Improvement: Implemented plan cloning and improved package editing by adding save button in all steps.
  • Improvement: Pending cancel service can now be “Re-Activated”. Cancelled can never be activated.
  • Improvement: User friendly error messages are displayed for known errors that have been handled. Unhandled exceptions take to Error page.
  • Improvement: On main screen in System navigation, ‘Statments’ should be spelled ‘Statements’ (under the Billing Manager menu item).
  • Improvement: Spelling & grammar check within the panel at account detail page (Exchange).
  • Improvement: Missing Customer Control Center icons added.
  • Improvement: Reduces database interaction while establishing connection to HMC for Provisioning hence improving application speed.
  • Improvement: Garbage records related to OU/Domain etc are removed in Exchange account cancellation during account pending state.
  • Improvement: Removed “MachPanel Renewal” from add / edit TLD.
  • Improvement: Option included to send “new password email” when password has been reset for mailboxes and SharePoint subscriptions.
  • Improvement: Modified “Online Help” from MachSol online knowledgebase to local support document.
  • Improvement: Client is able to remove resources from dedicated service plans.
  • Improvement: Add-on can be edited and removed through add-on management tab.
  • Improvement: Added option for “Manual Domain Entry”. This option can be used for billing management or if the domain has already been registered.
Resolved Issues
  • Bug fixed: Prices does not show properly while adding product while creating service plan for Dedicated Server Hosting.
  • Bug fixed: Cannot hide emails from GAL through Control Panel.
  • Bug fixed: Getting following error while trying to set email forwarding “ Operation failed : IADs::SetInfo/A constraint violation occurred./SetPropertiesBase”.
  • Bug fixed: In Exchange 2007 distribution list error “Operation failed. : Index was outside the bounds of the array.” when “Require that all senders are authenticated” is checked or unchecked.
  • Bug fixed: Clicking ‘Disable Provider’ in SharePoint Provider interface generated error “System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
  • Bug fixed: Invalid characters were allowed in fields causing an invalid SQL statement to be created.
  • Bug fixed: Images are not displayed on manage priorities interface within Help Desk section.
  • Bug fixed: Incorrect idle status when creating a new ticket manually in the help system.
  • Bug fixed: Allowing deletion of data centre that was already assigned to a rack. No entry appears under rack displaying error message “No datacenter record found. Details: No records found (SP_EM_GetDataCenters '1')”.
  • Bug fixed: Service queue entry ID link, when clicked, does not show any detail log message for each try to process the queue item.
  • Bug fixed: Spell mistake in Exchange Package default e-mail template.
  • Bug fixed: Using ‘Back’ button in the browser couple of times results in system logs off.
  • Bug fixed: Edit button in tax zones section does not work.
  • Bug fixed: In Exchange Add-On Management, “unlimited storage settings is not available" due to constraints in quota management.
  • Bug fixed: MachPanel Remote Server x64 is being installed under x86 Program Files folder.
  • Bug fixed: Ticket subject problem.
  • Bug fixed: Fatal Application Error occurs on clicking ‘ Advanced tab’ under the dedicated servers section.
  • Bug fixed: Fatal Application Error when viewing the statements under billing manager section.
  • Bug fixed: Login error when going to resources tab under customer panel.
  • Bug fixed: Dashboard links (Hosting Servers and Provisioning Queue) not linked correctly and throw a 404 error.
  • Bug fixed: Launching Store and then purchasing exchange plan generates following error: Error in saving Exchange hosting order. Details: Could not find a part of the path" C:Program Files \ Machine Solutions \MachPanel\Cache \Orders\Orders_f788ert340.xml. Error occurs for private labeling case.
  • Bug fixed: Error occurred when tried to "Grant Send On Behalf" and select any MailContact entry from dropdown list in Service Management of Exchange Account.
  • Bug fixed: Issues related to SharePoint over HMC including addition of more locales in table and provision for Webapplication (Https case).
  • Bug fixed: Index was outside the bounds of the array [Distribution List Problem].
  • Bug fixed: Non-availability of "Hide from exchange address list'" option in HMC mode.
  • Bug fixed: Could not add mail contact through MachPanel (HMC mode)
  • Bug fixed: "Require that all senders are authenticated" flag does not change for Exchange 2007 distribution list.
  • Bug fixed: On adding new staff user, “email already exists” error encountered.
  • Bug fixed: View state error occurs when using back button of keyboard.
  • Bug fixed: On creating new Mailbox (Set Mailbox), Active Directory operation fails. Additional information: Unable to update the password. The value provided for the new password does not meet the length, complexity, or history requirement of the domain.
  • Bug fixed: OWA – Email Forwarding Option .
  • Bug fixed: Client not receiving any kind of recurring notices.
  • Bug fixed: Added method to stop automatic cancellation. Checkbox added to override service suspension.
  • Bug fixed: Error faced in registering payment.
  • Bug fixed: “Add Email” should be “Add Alias” when adding aliases for an exchange account.
  • Bug fixed: Problem in adding “Data Centers”.
  • Bug fixed: Public folder option not visible in categories. It is not showing up in OWA when provisioning is done using MachPanel. Same case for SharePoint users.
Known Issues
  • Email not sent while changing password on “Client Profile”.
  • SharePoint user password must meet password complexity otherwise it will create the user on backend but not show in MachPanel system. This is irreversible, so you MUST ensure to use complex password.
  • Reseller section is under development for enterprise extensions. Please ignore links or details about reseller section.
  • Known issue: ‘Edit Subscription’, ‘Upgrade’, ‘Downgrade’ buttons are not currently functional.
