&lt;p&gt;This article explains the steps, How To to install ASP.NET Framework on Windows Server and enable it in IIS. These steps are required when you face problem in running web interface for &lt;span id="ctl00_ctlContentPlaceHolder_ctl00_ctlViewArticle_ctlPanelBar_lblArticleText"&gt;MachPanel &lt;/span&gt;and get 404 error.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Applies To&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Windows 2003 Server&lt;br /&gt;
Internet Information Services (IIS) 6.0&lt;br /&gt;
ASP.NET Framework 2.0&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;strong&gt;Solution&lt;/strong&gt;
&lt;p&gt;To run &lt;span id="ctl00_ctlContentPlaceHolder_ctl00_ctlViewArticle_ctlPanelBar_lblArticleText"&gt;MachPanel &lt;/span&gt;web interface, you have to install the ASP.NET, .NET Framework 2.0 and enable it in Internet Information Services (IIS). &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
When you use the &lt;strong&gt;Configure Your Server Wizard&lt;/strong&gt; or the &lt;strong&gt;Add or Remove Programs&lt;/strong&gt; dialog box to install ASP.NET on a server running Windows Server 2003, ASP.NET is automatically enabled in IIS Manager.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
However, if you install ASP.NET from a Web download or as part of an application such as Microsoft® Visual Studio®.NET, you must enable ASP.NET manually, as described later in this section.Insert section body here.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Case1: To enable ASP.NET on a server running Windows Server 2003 by using the Configure Your Server wizard&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Click &lt;strong&gt;Start&lt;/strong&gt;, and then click &lt;strong&gt;Manage Your Serve&lt;/strong&gt;r.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;In the &lt;strong&gt;Manage Your Server&lt;/strong&gt; window, click &lt;strong&gt;Add or remove a role&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;In the &lt;strong&gt;Configure Your Server wizard&lt;/strong&gt;, click &lt;strong&gt;Next&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;In the Server Role dialog box, click &lt;strong&gt;Application Server (IIS, ASP.NET)&lt;/strong&gt; and then click &lt;strong&gt;Next&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;In the &lt;strong&gt;Application Server&lt;/strong&gt; Options dialog box, select the &lt;strong&gt;Enable ASP.NET&lt;/strong&gt; check box.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Click &lt;strong&gt;Next&lt;/strong&gt;, and then click &lt;strong&gt;Next &lt;/strong&gt;again.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;If you are prompted to do so, insert your Windows Server 2003 installation CD in the CD-ROM drive, and then click &lt;strong&gt;Next&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;When the installation is complete, click &lt;strong&gt;Finish&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Case2:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;To enable ASP.NET on a server running Windows Server 2003 by using Add or Remove Programs&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;In &lt;strong&gt;Control Panel&lt;/strong&gt;, click &lt;strong&gt;Add or Remove Programs&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;Click &lt;strong&gt;Add/Remove Windows Components&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;In the &lt;strong&gt;Components&lt;/strong&gt; box in the &lt;strong&gt;Windows Components Wizard&lt;/strong&gt;, select the &lt;strong&gt;Application Server &lt;/strong&gt;check box, and then click &lt;strong&gt;Details&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;In the &lt;strong&gt;Application Server&lt;/strong&gt; dialog box, select the &lt;strong&gt;ASP.NET&lt;/strong&gt; check box, and then click &lt;strong&gt;OK&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;In the &lt;strong&gt;Windows Components Wizard&lt;/strong&gt;, click &lt;strong&gt;Next&lt;/strong&gt; to begin installing &lt;strong&gt;ASP.NET&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;When the &lt;strong&gt;Windows Components Wizard&lt;/strong&gt; has finished configuring Windows Server 2003, click &lt;strong&gt;Finish&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ol&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Case3: &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;strong&gt;To Enable ASP.NET Extension in IIS (6.0)&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 1. Click on &lt;strong&gt;Start&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 2. Click on &lt;strong&gt;Run&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 3. Type &lt;strong&gt;inetmgr&lt;/strong&gt; and press &lt;strong&gt;Enter&lt;/strong&gt; / Click &lt;strong&gt;OK&lt;/strong&gt;. This will open Internet Information Services (IIS) MMC.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
In IIS MMC:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 1. Expand your server i.e. &lt;strong&gt;PC_Name (local computer)&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 2. Click &lt;strong&gt;Web Service Extensions&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; 3. In the details pane, click &lt;strong&gt;ASP.NET v2.0.50727&lt;/strong&gt;, and then click &lt;strong&gt;Allow&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
